Ingredients

Banana base
  • 3 bananas ripe, sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp honey optional
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Toppings
  • 1 banana slices and peanut butter for topping

Equipment

  • 1 stand mixer

Method

Blend the frozen froyo
  1. Add the frozen banana slices, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey if using, vanilla, and salt to a stand mixer. Blend until completely smooth and creamy with no visible banana chunks.
Freeze for firmer texture (optional)
  1. Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture. If you want it firmer, transfer to a freezer container and freeze for 2-4 hours.
  2. Let the frozen yogurt sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping, so it softens slightly. Use a spoon to portion into bowls.
Top and serve
  1. Top with banana slices and a drizzle of peanut butter. Serve right away for the creamiest bite.

Notes

For the smoothest texture, make sure the banana slices are fully frozen before blending; stop and scrape down the sides if needed. Store leftovers covered in the freezer for up to 2 weeks, and thaw in the fridge for 10 minutes or let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving. Freezing is best for texture, but it’s not recommended to refreeze after it melts. For a lower-sugar option, skip the honey (it stays naturally sweet from the bananas).
