Method
Build the red, white, and blue layers
- Fill a large clear punch bowl or pitcher with ice so the liquids stay cold and the layers hold their shape.
- Pour cranberry juice over the ice as the base red layer, keeping the pour steady and not too high to avoid disturbing the ice.
- Slowly add lemonade over the back of a ladle to create a white middle layer without mixing, stopping when you reach about the same height as the red layer.
- Gently pour the blue raspberry drink over the ladle to float as the top blue layer, using slow, controlled movement for a crisp boundary.
Finish and serve
- Add a splash of lemon-lime soda right before serving to create fizz without breaking the layers.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries and blueberries and serve immediately for the best look and texture.
Notes
Pro tip: keep every liquid well-chilled and pour each layer over a ladle to slow the flow—this is what keeps the red/white/blue bands distinct. Refrigerate any leftover punch without soda for up to 1 day; add lemon-lime soda and garnish at serving time. Freezing isn’t recommended for layered drinks. For a lighter option, swap to diet lemon-lime soda (and consider lower-sugar lemonade) to reduce calories while keeping the layered presentation.
